Welcome To The Old Rectory

Exclusive Getaway Properties In Norfolk

We first viewed and fell in love with the Rectory just over 4 years ago. The main house had to be substantially demolished, and a new roof went on, as the existing property was unsafe. Many months of work then followed. Paul, Marie, Dylan and countless tradesmen worked to turn the rectory, coach house, lodge and cottage into what they are today.

We’ve tried to keep it as original as possible, and we think the overall balance is good. The whole estate is elevated, and looks down upon its own fields, river and lake. Our nearest neighbour is the National Trusts Oxborough Hall. They own virtually all of the surrounding fields and woodland, making the site completely private and secluded.

Our lake is fed by the river Gadder. a rowing boat can be used here, and we have a shady picnic table for guests to sit and relax, and take in the peace, quiet and views so rarely found today.
